I believe this only happens when booting after a full shutdown.
(This one shuts off too, so it's not just the two new monitors.
My third monitor is a Wacom Cintiq 16 tablet. Using another browser fixes the issue, but I would rather not switch browsers, I'm too heavily integrated into Google at this point. This issue started happening after that upgrade, so it makes me think the monitors are the cause, but it's weird that it only happens when using Chrome. I recently upgraded two of them to 1440p LG monitors. I have a 3 monitor setup, all connected to one GTX 1080, which is about 4 years old. I don't do anything differently during that final reboot, so I have no idea what the cause is. After around 5 or 6 reboots, chrome will somehow stop crashing my computer and it won't happen again for a few weeks. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, browsing or just letting it idle with no tabs, it still causes the crash. When I do open chrome, the display will cut out again after ~2 minutes. The tower remains running, and I have to reboot it manually with the power switch in the back.Īfter a reboot, if I don't open chrome, my computer will run as usual. Once every few weeks while using Chrome, my monitors will suddenly go black and lose their input signal from the graphics card. This problem has been ongoing for a few months now, and it's driving me crazy! UPDATE 2023: This issue has stopped happening altogether, so I assume it was a problem with Chrome and fixed in some update.
